Here at the super secret headquarters of SWEDE FEST™ 2 PALM BEACH, we now have 24 films you CAN’T swede for our July 27th extravaganza. The roster this year is decidedly in the SciFi/Fantasy camp, with Drama, Romance, and Horror duking it out for second place.
- The Avengers
- Life of Pi
- Little Shop of Horrors
- Starship Troopers
- Star Wars: Return of the Jedi
- Back to the Future
- They Live
- Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2
- Dark Knight Rises
- Edward Scissorhands
- The Shining
- The Exorcist
- Napoleon Dynamite
- Point Break
- Dead Man Down
And since Napoleon Dynamite already looks like a swede, is it possible that swede of it will look slick and professional? Just asking.
We’re closing in on the submission deadline of July 9th at 11:59 PM. That’s not even a month from now! If you want to have a venue full of people reveling in your cinematic genius, you need to hop on top of things, Coppola. Submission guidelines are here. The rules are here. Last year’s swedes are here. You get two free tickets if you submit a swede, but if you just want to walk the red carpet, get your picture taken in front of the step-and-repeat, and sit in the comfy chairs, tickets are $5 in advance here, too.
SWEDE FEST™ 2 PALM BEACH is 7:00 PM on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at The Borland Center for Performing Arts on Mainstreet at Midtown, 4801 PGA Boulevard in Palm Beach Gardens between I-95 and Florida’s Turnpike.
